Canopies with an "X" factor
Laminar Flow Systems Ltd has launched its first range of standard products, the X Series vertical laminar flow canopies.
The company says they are based on the proven quality of the Lamarflo range of bespoke units and have been designed to specifically meet the needs and budget of the small laboratory. The X Series consists of a powder coated steel canopy and frame with clear side panels and a polypropylene back panel with integral light fitting. Three options are available: the X1000, which is free standing with integral Trespa worktop; the X2000, free standing, but without worktop and said to be ideal for using over clients own equipment; and the X3000, a bench mounted alternative. The company says that unlike similar units, the X Series has separate fan and HEPA filter assemblies allowing simple long term maintenance at a low cost, while the interchangeable worktop provides the flexibility to adapt for any process. All units are based upon a compact 1220mm x 610mm footprint to fit into any environment and provide a guaranteed class 10 environment at the working height. They are also said to be easily assembled on-site and can be plugged in to standard 220/240V sockets.
