Boost for Jorin's ViPA sales to Middle East
Sales of Jorin's ViPA particle monitoring equipment to the Middle East increased ninefold in 2004, the company says. The sales figures were boosted by the supply to Oman of turnkey installations, featuring fully automated sample control and on-line washing, and including everything from the sample point through to the sample drain tie-in. Developed in the UK by Jorin, the ViPA is an on-line monitor that can continuously analyse the content of oil, solids and condensates in process water at working temperatures and pressures. By measuring up to 17 particle parameters, ViPA units can categorise particles by their size and shape. Solid particles have a very different shape from liquid droplets, for example, and the units use this difference to provide comprehensive data on up to eight types of particles.
