Asahi/America introduces Pro-Lock safe piping system
Asahi/America have launched the new Pro-Lock , a piping system for double contained sodium hypochlorite and bleach systems to complement the company's range of PP, HDPE, PVDF, and E-CTFE dual contained piping options. It is said to offer users the freedom to select the system, material and joining technique that matches their application requirements. Consisting of two separate pipes (carrier and containment) and constructed of PVC and CPVC, the Pro-Lock also features Asahi/America's patented Dogbone fitting. The Dogbone locks the inner pipe to the outer pipe for proper stress control, and allows for proper termination from double wall to single wall while maintaining system pressure rating and controlling thermal expansion. The Pro-Lock can be used in conjunction with a number of leak detection methods for added security, and is available in a variety of sizes – from 0.5 x 3 to 6 x 10 – with ratings including schedule 40 x 40, 80 x 40 or 80 x 80.
