Devereux Architect’s has carried out work on the Barts and Royal London Hospitals PFI (with HOK), King's Clinical Neuroscience Institute, University College London Hospitals, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Lewisham Hospital and Queen Mary’s Hospital. The firm won the best hospital design award at the Building Better Healthcare Awards 2008 for its work at Queen Square, National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. It has worked with the UK National Health Service for more than 50 years and has assisted a range of healthcare organisations across the UK and Ireland, and in Europe, the Middle East and the West Indies.
The client list of Dewjo’c includes GlaxoSmithKline, with production facilities in Suzhou, China and Poznan, Poland, HyClone in Cramlington and the Avecia Multiplex in Billingham, Cleveland. Projects have ranged from hospitals in the private sector to intermediate and specialist care facilities for health trusts using the current NHS information, guidance notes and codes. There is a strong focus on innovative interior design of special environments with their complex servicing and distribution needs, from operating theatres to the installation of specialist pharmacies.
The synergy between the two practices and their geographical spread across the UK and internationally will allow Devereux to expand in the healthcare, biopharma and education sectors.
