Vulcascot's Anti Bac cast acrylic sheet can prevent surface growth of micro organisms where hot, damp conditions exist and eliminates the development of odours and dark staining to the material even after a period of prolonged washing.

Mould and fungi are the scourge of hospitals and laboratories where warm temperatures and high humidity combine to produce the ideal breeding ground for the growth of bacteria

Produced by Quinn Plastics, this new plastic sheeting materials, is carefully protected by specialist biocide agents. In standard cast acrylic sheets plasticisers are used to enhance formability but such additives actually act as nourishment for micro organisms therefore specially formulated additives are used to ensure that Anti Bac thermoforms even better than their standard cast material, without any detrimental effects on its anti microbial properties.

Anti Bac is an outstanding material for use in any application where tough hygienic conditions prevail as this excellent new material will not support the growth of micro-organisms .Washing and wiping clean is easy and can be carried out with a light soap solution which has no affect on the special additives used to block the growth of bacteria.

The sheeting is available in white and clear and any standard colour, subject to minimum production quantities in sheet size 3050x2030mm and thicknesses from 3-20mm.

The product has been carefully evaluated in a biological laboratory to standard ISO 846:1997 and manufactured to ISO 9001:2000.
