Anachem rebrands its European businesses
Anachem's Environmental Division has relaunched its business with a new identity, uniting its "a1" pan-European group of businesses and re-branding them as the "a1-envirosciences group".
The change "reflects the rapid growth of the Anachem Environmental enterprise and creates a single, consistent brand identity throughout Europe", the company says. The group will keep its head office operations in Luton, UK, with wholly-owned subsidiaries in Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, France and Austria. Beneath the brand of the a1-envirosciences group will sit two distinct business groups: a1-envirotech, which will continue to offer analytical instrumentation for chemical analysis; and a1-safetech, which will maintain its portfolio of air monitoring and containment technologies. Meanwhile, Anachem is now offering new Rainin reagent reservoirs. Constructed from sterile polypropylene to prevent sample contamination, they are also available with lids to protect reagents outside the sterile cabinet and enable stacking while the reagent remains in the reservoir, thus saving space. The reservoirs have a 75ml capacity, which, due to its relatively large size, saves time by avoiding the need for frequent refilling. Their size also makes them ideal for applications of repetitive, large-volume single channel or multi-channel pipetting. Calibration marks are situated at 10ml, 30ml and 60ml on the inside of the wall, and grooves are all interconnected at their ends to allow circulation of fluid throughout the entire reservoir. The reservoirs also have a wide base to provide stability and avoid spills, while a distinct V-shaped base and non-binding polymer minimise wastage by ensuring the accessibility of the entire sample. Sterilisation via gamma irradiation ensures complete absence of contaminants.
