AM Technical Solutions (AM), a US-based specialist in high-tech construction and engineering solutions, has been selected to provide consulting services to a prominent US university as it advances its nanotechnology research infrastructure.
Headquartered in Austin, Texas, AM delivers engineering, construction management, and compliance solutions for highly controlled and regulated environments, with a particular focus on cleanroom, laboratory, and manufacturing spaces in sectors such as life sciences, semiconductors, and higher education.
With growing global demand for smaller, faster, and more efficient technologies, nanotechnology has emerged as a transformative field with diverse applications.
In response, one of the United States’ top-ranked technology universities has engaged AM to conduct a high-level operational review across several of its nanotechnology research projects.

As part of the consultancy, AM will deploy experienced subject matter experts (SMEs) to assess the university’s existing facilities, tools, and operational procedures.
The project scope includes reviewing the performance and safety of waste collection and treatment systems.
The project also involves evaluating point-of-use exhaust abatement systems, with a view to reducing the facility’s carbon footprint.
Additionally, the team will recommend improvements for cleanroom safety, specifically regarding the replacement of gas cabinets within an existing gas room.

An initial on-site review will involve AM’s specialists conducting a thorough evaluation of the university’s research facilities, equipment, and infrastructure, working closely with school representatives to minimise disruption to ongoing research activity.
Following this visit, the team will deliver a detailed site report outlining their findings, operational assessments, and tailored recommendations for improvements in alignment with the university’s strategic objectives.
Mark Alavi, Director of Engineering at AM Technical Solutions, said: “This is an exciting opportunity to provide one of the top institutions in the U.S. with expert recommendations for expanding their nanotechnology capabilities.”
“We believe this is the start of a multi-project relationship to deliver more value to the school through our high-tech construction expertise.”
In addition to the current review, AM’s team will collaborate with the university’s operations group to identify further potential projects and future service opportunities stemming from the outcomes of this initial engagement.
