Akzo Nobel picking up the Accolades

Published: 2-Feb-2005

Akzo Nobel Industrial Coatings, of Darwen, Lancashire, has introduced a new range of coatings for flexible floors. The Accolade range has been developed to provide a "factory finish" and is applied as a final production stage by flooring manufacturers. Coatings also ensure that any static dissipative characteristics of flexible flooring systems are retained after application, allowing installations in areas with low flash points to experience reductions in dirt pick-up, staining and scuffing, alongside increases in operational life. Accolade coatings also provide initial protection during installation and construction, ensuring the flooring enters service in pristine condition, Akzo Nobel says. They are available for all types of flexible flooring, including homogenous, laminate, plastisol and cushion floors, and can be developed to meet specific requirements, such as for hospitals and kitchens.
