AES Clean Technology, a US-based life sciences cleanroom build specialist, has launched Omni ASCENT.
Omni ASCENT is a next-generation Off-Site Manufactured (OSM) vertical utility solution designed to improve cleanroom flexibility and efficiency.
The development marks a significant step forward in cleanroom utility integration, addressing industry challenges related to space optimisation and accessibility.
Omni ASCENT builds upon AES’s established Omni utility raceway foundation, which integrates critical cleanroom utilities into a modular and adaptable framework.

Unlike conventional systems that require utilities to be mounted on walls or ceilings, often limiting layout options and complicating access, Omni ASCENT enables utilities to be strategically positioned on the cleanroom floor.
This approach is expected to provide greater flexibility in facility design while enhancing operational efficiency and safety.
Shawn Reniker, Senior Vice President of Operations at AES Clean Technology, said: “Omni ASCENT is a response to the evolving demands of cleanroom environments. By removing the necessity for wall or ceiling-mounted utilities, manufacturers can optimise space, improve accessibility for maintenance and operations, and accelerate deployment while maintaining compliance with industry standards.”
The system has been designed for rapid installation, arriving fully assembled and ready for deployment in under half a day.
The system integrates with existing Omni raceway solutions,
Its configuration aims to improve workplace ergonomics and safety by reducing the need for ladders and minimising tripping hazards.
Additionally, the system integrates with existing Omni raceway solutions, facilitating a streamlined transition for both new cleanroom installations and retrofits.
The introduction of Omni ASCENT reflects an ongoing shift towards modular cleanroom solutions, enabling pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturers to respond more effectively to regulatory changes and operational demands.
AES Clean Technology continues to focus on advancing cleanroom design to meet the evolving needs of the sector.
