ABC Transfer, a France-based provider of sterile transfer solutions for the biopharma industry, has announced the first order of its new ULTRA (trademarked) system.
The order comes from a major European manufacturer aiming to upgrade an existing production line in line with the revised Annex 1 regulations for sterile medicinal products.
Designed as a gloveless, fully mechanical transfer system, ULTRA enables the sterile handling of stoppers and caps packed in ported, sterilised bags, without the need for gloves.
Its key components include the ABC Transfer (trademarked) gloveless alpha port, the ULTRA betacleanbag, and a mobile chute, all engineered to simplify validation, reduce integration complexity, and increase reliability.
With its focus on regulatory compliance, ease of use, and robust performance, ULTRA marks a key advancement in sterile manufacturing technology
The system will be showcased at the ACHEMA 2024 exhibition this June, where it is expected to draw significant interest for its innovative approach to improving safety and efficiency in fill and finish lines.
ABC Transfer CEO Thierry Girard said: "ULTRA™ is the system the global pharmaceutical industry has been waiting for—powerful, simple, and user-friendly. We look forward to presenting it to customers at ACHEMA."
