Zotefoams supplies 3km of T-Tubes to pharma firm in UAE
A tube and pipe insulation system for process lines and equipment in cleanroom environments
T-Tubes are a tube and pipe insulation system for process lines and equipment in cleanroom environments manufactured by Zotefoams, located in Croydon, UK. They are claimed to be the only pipe insulation system in the world that is compliant with the FM Approvals 4910 standard for cleanroom materials.
“The inherent sterility and speed and ease of installation of this unique product was a major factor in the decision making process when choosing an effective insulation system for our new 1,500kg capacity insulin crystal manufacturing facility,” said Hasan Jibreel, director of projects and engineering at Julphar.
T-Tubes are made from Kynar PVDF-based, high-purity Zotek fluoropolymer foam. They have been designed to meet the exacting standards required in clean process in industries such as biotechnology, pharmaceutical and semiconductors.
T-Tubes do not require jacketing and have a temperature range of –80°C to 160°C. With a wall thickness of only 6.35mm they save space and allow for insulating areas that cannot be covered using existing methods.
Installation is easy and fast with custom moulded fittings and an overlapping self-adhering tape.
UFP Technologies (UFPT), a US manufacturer of packaging and components products based in Georgetown, MA, and Zotefoams have agreed to work together to develop T-Tubes as a worldwide brand. UFPT is marketing and developing T-Tubes in North America, while UK-based Zotefoams is responsible for marketing and development in Europe, Middle East and Asia.
