The infection prevention specialist has introduced its new RPM (Ridged Performance Material) product line to support USP 797/800 compliance in high-risk environments

UMF, a US-based infection prevention specialist, has unveiled its new RPM (Ridged Performance Material) product line. The new RPM line was developed specifically for use in critically controlled environments (CCEs).

The new RPM system is a comprehensive, 10-piece collection of cleaning tools and accessories engineered to deliver superior contamination control in high-risk settings.

These include hospital compounding pharmacies, vivariums, food processing facilities, as well as trauma and unattended death restoration sites, and locations requiring fentanyl and methamphetamine remediation.

George Clarke, CEO at UMF, said: “RPM is not just a new product—it's a complete system designed to simplify and elevate the standard of cleanliness in high-risk environments. From our patented lint-free applicators to our recyclable, single-use frame, every aspect of RPM is built to reduce bio-load, minimise risk, and improve outcomes.

Designed for rigorous standards and enterprise infection prevention

The RPM product line has been developed to help organisations meet stringent regulatory requirements such as USP 797/800, alongside other industry protocols.

Central to the system is the Ridged Performance Material itself, a cleaning medium capable of removing and absorbing contaminants from environmental surfaces efficiently.

The product line comprises 10 specialist tools, including flat mops, wipers, applicators, and purpose-designed accessories, all offering maximum lint-free performance.

Among the notable innovations is the OTU Hook & Loop Frame—a one-time-use, 100% polypropylene frame that is fully recyclable and positioned as a cost-effective alternative to conventional stainless steel or reusable mop frames

Further distinguishing the system is its dual-use flexibility, suitable for both one-time use (O.T.U.) in sensitive cleanroom areas and validated reprocessing when required.

The tools are also chemically compatible with a broad range of disinfectants and cleaning solutions, while ergonomic hardware designs aim to simplify cleaning protocols and reduce overall application times.

The RPM product range integrates with UMF Corporation’s broader infection prevention solutions, including its PerfectCLEAN (trademarked)  colour-coded system and ONEperROOM (trademarked) training methodology, offering customers a comprehensive, enterprise-wide approach to infection control and environmental hygiene management.
