Trescal has acquired UK-based environmental monitoring expert FMS.
Facility Monitoring Systems (FMS) provides products for those in cleanrooms and controlled environments, such as continuous particle monitoring software solutions, and is a leading supplier of Airborne Particle Counter instruments from TSI Inc.
Trescal is a global company focused on calibration services that has been making acquisitions across multiple continents for the last few years.
In 2021, Trescal acquired Cleanroom Management International and Aviatronik. Then in 2023, a further five acquisitions were made with SCTI, Nordic Service Group, Delta-P Monitoring Technology, ASG X-Technologies and Integrajaya Calibration Technologies.
These acquisitions span three continents; Europe, Asia, and Oceania.
This strategic acquisition in 2025 is a significant milestone for FMS. The company is set to deliver significant benefits to the contamination control industry across the UK and Ireland through expanded service capabilities, cleanroom contamination control solutions and a strengthened commitment to customer support.
As part of the Trescal family, FMS gains access to expanded resources, expertise and a global network, enabling the company to further elevate its solutions for cleanrooms and controlled environments.
FMS’s expertise in designing, installing and maintaining environmental monitoring systems perfectly complements Trescal’s calibration and metrology services, reinforcing FMS’s position as a leading provider in regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences and healthcare.
Industry support for the acquisition
TSI, a major player in precision measurement and particle counter instrumentation, as well as a long-standing principal to FMS, which is the sole Gold Channel Partner for the TSI range of contamination control products in the UK and Ireland, has expressed its endorsement of this exciting development.
Simon Tebb, EMEA Sales Manager for Controlled Environments at TSI, said: “FMS has consistently delivered outstanding solutions and customer service within the contamination control sector. We are confident that its integration with Trescal will unlock new opportunities for innovation and growth.
“TSI looks forward to continuing our collaboration with FMS as part of Trescal to advance contamination control technologies in the UK and Ireland.”

What is changing and what is staying the same?
As the strategic partner to FMS in Ireland, Astech (Ireland) will continue to be the direct interface for all customers, underpinning the company’s drive to support and develop the Irish market.
Astech has an established and robust localised sales and customer support infrastructure that delivers contamination control solutions across Ireland. It also stands to benefit from the Trescal acquisition of FMS.
Deborah Haisman, Commercial Director at FMS, said: “We are proud of our strong reputation and the trust our customers place in us.
“Working with Trescal’s experts and calibration solutions will allow us to enhance our services, expand our reach and deliver even greater value to our customers in all contamination control sectors in the UK and Ireland.”
Karolina Lachi-Kolarova, Managing Director of Trescal in the UK, Ireland and Norway added: “By bringing FMS into the Trescal family, we are boosting our capabilities and strengthening our commitment to serving highly regulated industries. The complementary skills and experience of the two companies is a powerful asset to our global business.”
