TOMI announces new manufacturing and development agreement with RG Group
The decontamination company has extended its manufacturing agreement, submitted new patent filings and furthered its work with international customers
California-based TOMI Environmental Solutions is a global bacteria decontamination and infectious disease control company that provides solutions for indoor surface disinfection. With its hydrogen peroxide-based system that uses Binary Ionization Technology (BIT) its products produce an activated ionised hydrogen peroxide mist, known by the brand name SteraMist.
RG Group of York,PA, US, has been named TOMI’s platinum manufacturing partner for its “SteraMist” using the BIT platform.
During 2016, TOMI filed four new patent applications with the US Patent and Trademark Office for its SteraMist decontamination and disinfection modules, chambers, carts, and other equipment.
The company develops custom fit build-in proposals for full rooms, pass-boxes, chambers, Bag-in/Bag-Out (BIBO) and other enclosures.
It has developed disinfection/decontamination chambers using the grant: “USAid Fighting Ebola: A Grand Challenge for Development”. These chambers were tested in Liberia, where TOMI technology was used to decontaminate the ebola treatment centre.
Developments
TOMI has recently developed a fully self-contained SteraMist cart. The cart provides portable housing for tools and products commonly used for terminal clean of any of the 42 healthcare-hospital use sites listed on TOMI’s healthcare and hospital label. It is intended for use by Environmental Services hospital staff.
The company has also made modifications to its SteraMist products, including developing stainless steel surface units to be used in the areas of cleanrooms, pharmaceutical processing, aviation and surgical operatories.
The company recently developed a SteraMist Surface Unit for a German pharmaceutical company and a rapid cycle decontamination unit for Type Solutions, laboratory and industrial equipment company located in Portugal.
Its build-in solutions for Telstar Group and AM Instruments are used with their pharmaceutical laboratory and cleanroom equipment to provide decontamination validation without damage to their delicate equipment and fixed materials.
