Tom Ford has rejoined Howorth Air Technology to take up a senior position as sales director.
Ford left the air technology firm last year to join Medical Air Technology, but has returned to the newly revitalised Howorth, as part of its senior management team. He will play a key role in influencing the direction the company takes following its recent acquisition by a new management team.
After many years working for, and then managing, the family engineering business, Ford became a project manager within the medical technology industry, joining Howorth in 2001. He took the role of sales manager in 2005. Adrian Parkin, managing director of Howorth, said: “Tom brings with him in-depth knowledge of the UK and Ireland healthcare markets, as well as proven technical ability across all aspects of healthcare engineering. Everyone at Howorth will be pleased to welcome him back to the company.”
Howorth Air Technology was launched in its present form in December 2009, after being taken over by a management team consisting of Parkin and Jim Liptrot. Parkin was a director of Howorth Air Technology and formerly a director of Howorth Airtech. Howorth’s former finance director, David Fisher, is also part of the team.
Howorth Air Technology is part of the Howorth Westbury Group, which also incorporates Westbury Filtermation.
