Sean McIntyre has joined Stonhard Europe as their new Linings Manager. The new hire looks set to strengthen Kemtile's credentials in the pharma and chemical manufacturing sector by bringing his specific technical knowledge to bear on anti-corrosion solutions in the UK.
McIntyre will support the business's European and UK operations and help drive more UK business from companies working in harsh chemical and pharma environments.
Stonhard and Kemtile joined forces in 2019 to offer the market manufacture and install expertise and single-source solutions for flooring and anti-corrosion challenges of all sizes across multiple sectors.
McIntyre will advise on the use of one of the company's flagship ranges, Stonchem, an extensive line of chemical-resistant performance lining systems for ultra-corrosive environments.
Having worked previously with Stonhard for 14 years as Construction Manager, McIntyre returns with a new product advisory brief and a hugely respected track record in managing quality, consistency and continuity of resin floor and linings projects across Europe.
Commenting on McIntyre's appointment, Jamie Cook, MD at Kemtile, said: "We're looking forward to working with McIntyre to open up opportunities in the chemical and pharma sectors - including leading a team at industry exhibition ChemUK 2022 in May - a first for us - and growing our presence in this market."
Reflecting on his appointment, McIntyre said: "I'm very pleased to be using my experience to develop new relationships for Kemtile in the UK, serving a sector with unique anti-corrosion challenges. Our enhanced product and install expertise means we can now offer more durable, problem solving solutions for customers operating in these highly controlled manufacturing environments."
