Solo Containment launches product selector guide
The chart groups five of Solo’s product platforms into different containment performance bands
Solo Containment’s development engineer Arnie Maguire has developed a containment system selection guide for Solo’s flexible isolator customers.
The chart groups five of Solo’s product platforms into different containment performance bands, categorising airflow and pressure regimes as well as popular filtration offerings.
SOLObag is a “one time” use frameless envelope for clinical applications where decontamination of the envelope is not an option. These entry level units are supplied with a simple breather filter to permit envelope collapse at the end of the life cycle.
SOLOflex is an innovative self-supporting envelope that is supplied with an integral flexible rod support structure, alleviating the need for a costly tubular support frame and bungee cords. SOLOflex is fast to assemble and easy to use and is proving popular with customers. As with the SOLObag, the envelope runs at ambient or low level negative/positive pressures.
SOLOflex+ positions Solo’s products into the critical aseptic processing, API containment or bio-security field. SOLOflex+ operates typically in the ±10 to 50pa range. Filtration options include full safe change as well as de-contaminate in-situ systems. Product entry exit options include interlocked pass through hatches, traditional bag out ports, as well as RTP or EZI-Dock technology.
SOLOmax is for applications where flexible film containment is not acceptable from a durability or safety aspect. It improves low cost isolator longevity by creating a rigid isolation chamber from optically clear acrylic or polycarbonate sheet. All of the features from the SOLO Flex+ range are available.
SOLOsuite has been developed in response to the demand for large-scale process enclosures. Available in a range of sizes and heights, the soft wall enclosure system can be used for cleanroom or containment applications. Solo’s personnel and materials airlocks are available with either low cost zipper doors or with rigid door systems to meet user and pressure gradient applications.
The new product selector chart will be a central feature in the new Solo Containment website, which will be launched around the end of June.
