Rockwell Automation has announced two significant promotions in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Former UK Sales Director Mark Bottomley has been appointed Regional Sales Director, North, for the EMEA region, while Phil Hadfield, formerly UK Utilities & Transport Sales Manager, has taken over from Mark as UK Sales Director.
The double announcement is part of structural changes designed to improve collaboration and integration across the region as the company continues to grow and improve its service offering throughout EMEA.
Mark Bottomley brings more than 20 years of experience in a variety of industry roles across Europe to his new role, including 12 years at Rockwell Automation. In his last tenure, Mark was UK Sales Director, where he oversaw successive years of growth while shaping the company’s vision and strategy in the UK and developing a strong succession plan.
Welcoming Mark to his new position, EMEA President of Rockwell Automation, Susanna Gonzalez, said: “We are delighted that Mark has accepted the challenge to help us drive sales and even more customer intimacy in our key markets of the UK, Ireland, Nordics and Russia. Mark’s hard work, vision, leadership, and experience collaborating with our channel market partners will be invaluable assets in his new role.”
Phil Hadfield, new UK Sales Director
Mark’s replacement in the UK Sales Director position, Phil Hadfield, joined Rockwell Automation in 2005 and brings 20 years of automation sales experience to the job. He will be responsible for overseeing continued growth of Rockwell Automation products, solutions and services in the UK, and for leading the continued expansion of Connected Enterprise principles that help its customers expand human possibility in the era of Industry 4.0. A registered STEM ambassador, Phil has recently been engaged across EMEA in a strategic role relating to the company’s investment into PTC while building the customer-centric UK team which won the Rockwell Automation EMEA Sales Award in 2018.
Speaking about his new role, Phil said. “It is a huge honour to take over from Mark Bottomley, who leaves an enviable legacy of record growth, ever deeper collaboration with our partners and a clear UK strategy. These foundations provide a fantastic opportunity for us to continue to build into the future, further developing the customer-centricity that I believe sets Rockwell Automation apart at this exciting time for UK industry.”
Both appointments have been made with immediate effect.
