VWR acquires biostorage services provider EPL Archives

EPL Archives operates biostorage facilities – the acquisition will expand VWR's VWRCATALYST services portfolio

VWR has acquired EPL Archives, an international biorepository services organisation that supports customers across the entire regulated product R&D and commercialisation lifecycle by providing archive sample, document storage and ancillary services.

VWR, headquartered in Radnor, Pennsylvania, is a global provider of product and service solutions to laboratories and manufacturers in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare and other industries.

EPL Archives is widely recognised and respected by its customers for consistently delivering high-quality, responsive and compliant professional material management services.

Founded in 1978, EPL Archives has several locations in Virginia, US and Carros, France. EPL Archives operates biostorage facilities totaling over 190,000 ft2 of storage space including temperature controlled, humidity controlled and ambient storage that are compliant with applicable GLP, GCP and GMP regulations.

Services include non-clinical archiving, clinical biorepository and bio banking, regulated data management, manufacturing material storage, and specialised logistics and support services.
