Spetec to show latest Laminar Flow Box and CleanBoy lines at Cleanzone

Published: 4-Aug-2017

The German equipment manufacturer will show its new product lines that provide protection from particulate contamination for any industrial or research-based workplace

The need for clean, particle- and germ-free environments play an ever important role in both industrial manufacturing and scientific research. While elaborate cleanroom facilities have played their part in protecting products and processes, they are costly to design and purchase and expensive to maintain. Today in many instances, it is sufficient to create a localised cleanroom environment.

The Spetec Flow Box FBS or “CleanBoy” has been developed exactly for this purpose. The use of a Laminar Flow Box or a CleanBoy establishes cleanroom conditions at the location where they are needed.

Only high quality materials, such as acrylic glass and stainless steel, are used in the manufacture of the Flow Box FBS. For installation in an acidic atmosphere a special protective coating is available as an option.

The effective cleanroom space of the FBS covers a size between 2.5ft2 and 12.9ft2 (0.23m2 and 1.2m2).

The Spetec cleanroom devices are equipped with a type H14 filter. These have a filtration efficiency of 99.995 %, which means that the filter captures at least 99.995 % of all particles of a size of 0.12μm (as per MPPS). The filtration efficiency is approx. 99.9995 % for particles with a size of 0.3μm.

This laminar airflow below the flow modules means that there is no crossover with dirty air from the outside and the air moves as a parallel stream.

The CleanBoy, available as a floor-standing or table-top device, offers a cost effective and simple solution to cleanliness.

The CleanBoy is also simple to set up and is ready to use immediately. A mobile, wheel-mounted version of the CleanBoy makes it possible to transport the unit to different locations within the company. It is also possible to adapt the dimensions to meet the requirements of problematic workplaces.

The products will be on show in Hall 1.2, Stand E06 at Cleanzone on 17-18 October in Frankfurt, Germany.
