Micronclean has revealed that from 1 April 2023 all its electricity has been generated from 100% renewable sources.

Having surveyed the current market for electricity supply contracts, Micronclean, as part of the company's MicronGreen sustainability objective, has chosen an electricity supply contract that delivers electricity generated from 100% renewable sources.

The contract guarantees electricity from wind solar and hydro sources through the OFGEM approved Renewable Energy Guarantee of Origin (REGO) scheme.

We have chosen a socially responsible contract that guarantees transparency that our electricity is 100% renewably sourced

Sophie Harris, Associate Director QHSE at Micronclean said: “I am tremendously encouraged by this new electricity supply contract as it is the second tangible element of our MicronGreen initiative. It builds on the e-Vans that we put on the road last year and shows we are committed to a bold pathway that leads to zero carbon emissions.”

Harris added: “At Micronclean we take our commitment to the environment very seriously and as a result, even though electricity prices are still at historically high levels, we have not chosen the cheapest contract. Instead, we have chosen a socially responsible contract that guarantees transparency that our electricity is 100% renewably sourced.”
