Finalists revealed for the Cleanroom Award 2014

Ultimate winner to be decided by visitors to Cleanzone, the International Trade Fair and Congress for Cleanroom Technology in Frankfurt on 21-22 October


The five finalists in the International Innovation Award for Cleanroom Technology 2014 have been announced. They have been selected from 15 entries received by the ReinraumAkademie (Cleanroom Academy) from companies in Germany, the Netherlands, UK, Portugal and Austria covering technical fields ranging from measurement instrumentation, surface technology and cleanroom clothing to filter equipment.

The finalists are:

  • Initial Cleanrooms: cleanroom garment CleanVision
  • Schiller Automatisierungstechnik: Soover Overhead Hoist Transport
  • Topas: Advanced Fog Generator for flow visualisation
  • WOM World of Medicine: innovative cleanroom facility
  • AAF International: AstroCelR IHTP high temperature HEPA filter

The jury consists of Roy Fox (Editorial Director, ReinRaumTechnik), Egon Buchta (Managing Director, Engineering & Cleanroom Services Egon Buchta), Thomas Wollstein (Scientific-technical representative, VDI), Robert Buis (VP Marketing & Sales, Technology of Sense) and Frank Duvernell (Managing Director of the ReinraumAkadmie).

The winner of the Cleanroom Award will be determined by visitors to Cleanzone, the International Trade Fair and Congress for Cleanroom Technology in Frankfurt am Main on 21-22 October. The five finalists will have the opportunity to impress their audiences with their ideas. The winner of the award will be chosen at the end of the fair and will receive a prize of €3,000.

The goals of the Cleanroom Award are to promote innovation and ideas in the development of cleanroom technology as well as to expand public awareness of the cleanroom industry.
