Bactiguard wins additional order from CR Bard

Will generate extra revenue for Swedish supplier of anti-infective coatings


Swedish medical technology company Bactiguard has received a one-off order from CR Bard (Bard), to increase the US-headquartered firm's buffer stocks of anti-infective catheters with Bactiguard coating.

Bactiguard said the order will generate additional revenue of approximately SEK28m in the third quarter and means that sales to Bard for the whole of 2015 will be higher than for 2014.

'Sales of Bards catheters with Bactiguard infection-inhibiting coating has been stable for a long time. It is therefore very gratifying that Bard needs to increase its buffer stock to meet production targets, increasing our revenues and provides a substantial contribution to cash flow,' said Chief Executive Christian Kinch.
