Man Lift Manufacturing appoints Phil Sprio

He becomes president and chief executive

Man Lift Manufacturing Co, a US manufacturer of mobile hydraulic equipment for specialist markets and hazardous environments, appointed Phil Sprio as president and chief executive on 1 January. Sprio succeeds Jeff Bailey who founded the company in Milwaukee in 2000. Bailey has been instrumental in the success of Man Lift and will remain a director and continue his involvement in the design and engineering of custom lifts for Man Lift. He will also be a member of the Board of Man Lift’s parent company, Universal Manufacturing Co of Lincoln, Nebraska, which acquired Man Lift last month.

Sprio said Man Lift has a number of innovative products in its development pipeline and is also developing a number of strategic partnerships in the aerial and material handling segments, which will fuel further growth in North America and abroad.

Man Lift products are used in the aerospace, defence, aircraft manufacture, aircraft maintenance, food, chemical, tree care, window cleaning, and oil and gas industries.
