Cleanroom disinfectant supplier, Redditch Medical, has been acquired by Schülke & Mayr.

CEO Steve Brown bought the business in May 2024, along with sister company Entaco.

Now in 2025, Schülke has acquired the UK-based contamination control solution providers as part of a strategic acquisition to expand its life science capabilities.

The company stated it "reinforces our commitment to seamless cleanroom decontamination for pharmaceutical and biotech customers worldwide".

Schülke's portfolio will now include the InSpec (registered trademark) range of disinfectants and detergents.

As well as this product line, Redditch will also bring technical validation services as an offering.

The Germany-based company said that the expanded portfolio and services will help it provide tailored solutions, as well as enhance its presence "beyond current geographies".

Jan-Dirk Auris, CEO of Schülke, said: “Redditch Medical brings deep expertise in sterile cleanroom solutions that perfectly complements our Life Science portfolio. This acquisition is a decisive step forward in our mission to protect lives worldwide.”

Patric Scheidner, Head of SBU Life Science at Schülke, added: “We are excited to welcome Redditch Medical to our Life Science team. Their product innovation and manufacturing excellence will enable us to accelerate our growth and better serve our customers’ evolving needs more effectively.”

Steve Brown, CEO of Redditch Medical, stated: “Joining schülke is a great opportunity for our team and our customers. We share a common vision of quality, safety, and innovation, and we look forward to contributing to schülke’s mission.”

NETPark-based Redditch was created in 2012, when the Entaco Group renamed its medical division. This was the same year that the InSpec range was launched, which includes IPA, DE, Sporicide and disinfection products.
