Cleanroom resusable textile expert and global workwear powerhouse Elis has acquired BeMicron.
BeMicron is a Belgium-based family business which has an accumulated experience for over decades in delivering innovative cleanroom decontamination solutions.
Founded in 2020 by Vincent Vanneste, Thomas Vanneste and Siegfried De Smet; BeMicron provided globally their patented aseptic drop-down gowning system in various designs and the on-premises laundry (OPL) units with RFID based IT solutions for cleanroom operations.
The company has also been helping customers address the new EU GMP Annex 1 requirements.
When asked about how the acquisition affects existing BeMicron customers, Dennis Smeijer from Elis told Cleanroom Technology said: “The global footprint and network of Elis Cleanroom will expose you to a wider audience, with 3 additional R&D centres in Europe and Asia it will foster further innovation development and guarantees consistent quality and service capabilities.”
Smeijer added that Elis will continue Bemicron as it own entity and brand.

The company stated: “By adding BeMicron to Elis Cleanroom we enlarge our innovative offering in reusable launderable gowning solutions.”
The company explained that this helps it meet the demand for the resilient and growing cleanroom industry, helping customers in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, semiconductor and other high-tech industries to meet ever stricter quality and regulatory standards.
