Chinese hospitals to evaluate ViraTech UV-400
UV Flu Technologies will provide units for evaluation in China
UV Flu Technologies, the US manufacturer of the ViraTech UV-400 device that kills harmful airborne bacteria, has received its first order for the device to be tested and evaluated for the Chinese marketplace.
The units will be manufactured to electrical standards in China and shipped for evaluation to three hospitals in different Chinese cities.
“This is our first entry into the biggest potential market for our products in the world,” said John Lennon, president of UV Flu.
“China has approximately 330,000 hospitals, with even greater numbers of clinics, and the spread of airborne bacteria and viruses is epidemic in many areas.”
He said UV Flu Technologies has been building the brand over the last few months, and the results are about to be realised.
“We now have RX-3000s in a significant number of the top hospitals in America, and are currently back-ordered. We also hope to have our new initiatives in China, introduced later this month,” he said.
The ViraTech UV-400 uses high-intensity ultraviolet radiation (UV-C) inside a killing chamber that goes beyond filtration to destroy harmful airborne bacteria, at rates exceeding 99.2% on a first-pass basis, while also reducing the concentrations of odours, and VOCs (volatile organic compounds) such as acetone, benzene, and formaldehyde.
