The UK-based cleanroom equipment and consumables supplier has unveiled the new "Hygienic Wireless Bluetooth Silicone Cleanroom Keyboard"

Cleanroom Supplies has launched a new product in the Optimum Protection (trademarked) brand.

The UK-based cleanroom equipment and consumables supplier has unveiled the Hygienic Wireless Bluetooth Silicone Cleanroom Keyboard.

The new product is a part of Optimum Protection, a brand created and owned by Cleanroom Supplies.

Cleanroom Supplies was launched in 2005 by Michael Hill, who now functions as Managing Director.

The launch of the company was to complement Hill's other business, Optimum Cleanrooms. Optimum Cleanrooms is a design and build expert for cleanroom and laboratory environments.

Since 2005, Cleanroom Supplies has developed its own range of "quality, yet competitively priced" Optimum Protective garments.

It can be cleaned using soapy water, disinfectants or other cleaning agents

The company is keen to expand its offering in 2025. The team also introduced bespoke purpose-built settle plate stands – carefully designed to provide a non-intrusive location for environmental monitoring, whilst allowing petri dishes to be placed in optimal locations and not causing clutter or hazards.

The company supplies a wide range of equipment and consumables for controlled environments, from isolators to tacky mats, as well as disinfectants.

The keyboard has been designed for use in cleanrooms, laboratories, healthcare settings, food production areas, or any environment where hygiene is a top priority.

In a LinkedIn post, the company explained that the new keyboard is:

  • Fully waterproof & dishwasher safe
  • Smooth, wipe-clean silicone surface
  • No gaps or crevices – prevents dust and microbial build-up
  • Wireless Bluetooth connection – no cables to clean around

The website states that the new product can be cleaned using soapy water, disinfectants or other cleaning agents.
