UK-based hygienic wall cladding expert BioClad has been awarded a patent for its  “Integrated Plumbing System Apparatus and Method of Manufacture”

UK-based BioClad has been granted a patent for its system that integrates plumbing with an antimicrobial wall unit.

The hygienic cladding expert has patented its “Integrated Plumbing System Apparatus and Method of Manufacture”.

A defining feature of the newly patented modular integrated plumbing solution (IPS) is that it is fully wrapped in BioClad antimicrobial PVC.

All of BioClad’s antimicrobial products contain a silver-ion technology, creating surfaces upon which microbes do not survive. Laboratory and real-life testing has proved it reduces microbes by 99.9% and effectively fights a wide variety of microbes.

BioClad states that its products are proven effective against MRSA, E.Coli and even at deactivating the Influenza (H1N1) virus.

On top of the anitmicrobial properties, each of the newly patented IPSs has hinged and lockable access panels for security and maintenance purposes.

Applications for this IPS include hospitals, cleanrooms, laboratories, and healthcare settings.

“Securing this patent is more than just a recognition of our design excellence, it positions BioClad for continued growth and opens the door to exciting opportunities and partnerships,” the company stated.
