Novo Nordisk, a global healthcare company, has selected BE&K Building Group (BE&K) to build a new multi-product facility adjacent to Novo Nordisk’s existing operations in Clayton, North Carolina.
BE&K is a US-based design-build and construction management firm and will also be responsible for managing the facility.
The ambitious project will involve the construction of ten or more buildings and multi-building combinations, providing Novo Nordisk with more than 1.4m sqft of new space.
BE&K has dedicated over two years of detailed preparation for this endeavour, providing estimates, schedules, and procurement strategies, and has begun construction.
BE&K will provide oversight for the development of the facility that will span approximately 56 acres.
Further, BE&K will directly perform a significant portion of the work as Construction Manager and will serve as the Agency Construction Manager for the remainder of the work.

The final state-of-the-art facility will be instrumental in manufacturing Novo Nordisk’s treatments for obesity and other chronic diseases and is set to be completed between 2027 and 2029.
