Purpose-built facility includes a cleanroom

Pharmaceutical contract packer Wasdell Packaging has opened a new £1.5m, ISO Class 8 (Class 100000) factory in Swindon, UK that doubles its production capacity and takes its staff count to more than 200.

The 5,574m2 purpose-built facility includes a 2,300m2 cleanroom and will be officially opened next week (9 August).

MTC Insulation Solutions was responsible for the build and ventilation system, providing air conditioning to ISO Class 8 standard.

‘The factory marks an exciting chapter for Wasdell Packaging,’ said commercial director James Wasdell.

‘We wanted to exceed customer expectations and judging by the reaction we’ve had from new and existing customers to date, we have achieved that.’

He added that the factory would result in further growth and allow the company to improve its level of service.

More production lines will be added next year to double capacity again.
