Byrne is a chartered chemical and bioprocess engineer who joins the firm with extensive managerial experience in the medical industry, having previously worked for GE Healthcare and Schering-Plough.
Byrne takes overall responsibility for the Cotswold Division, a production facility based in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. The site underwent an expansion programme in 2007, which saw it double in size to meet increased global demand for Owen Mumford's medical devices.
Modestino Graziano, head of operations at Owen Mumford, said: “Jonathan’s expertise in leading teams coupled with advanced engineering and technical knowledge of medical device manufacturing makes him perfectly positioned to take on this very important position at our Cotswold Division. I feel confident this appointment will help the company move towards its 2020 vision.”
