Cutting the contamination cord
The use of scissors or other cutting devices in cleanroom and sterile environments can cause problems due to the generation of particles or fibres.
Striving to meet the need for ultraclean, sterile packaging, ATMI Packaging has developed the Cleansteam Easy-Tear Bag – a low linting, microbial barrier package with good seal and burst strength and virtually no airborne particles – for the sterile packaging of "ready-to-use" components such as stoppers, syringes, caps, plungers, and raw material. It features ATMI's co-extruded HDPE film sealed to a Dupont FDA-approved uncoated vent of Tyvek 1073B at the bottom of the bag, and an "Easy Tear" opening at the top.
