AAF has appointed Marc Schmidt as Director, Research & Development Europe. In this key role, he takes responsibility for research and development of air filter products in Europe.
Schmidt holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany. He has more than 20 years of experience in filtration and nonwovens. Before joining AAF he held several positions in technical and sales management at the former Hoechst AG and Freudenberg Group in Germany and China.
Prior to this appointment, Schmidt was Business Development Manager, Pharma Europe for three-and-a-half years.
Meanwhile, Franz Weidner has joined AAF as Marketing Director for the EMEA Region.
Weidner is a business economist with 15 years of experience in various marketing and product management positions in a marketing agency, as well as the chemical and filtration industry. Recently he worked in the filtration business in Europe, as a Strategic Marketing Specialist within the Freudenberg Group.
In his new role, Weidner will be responsible for AAF's strategic and operational marketing activities in the EMEA region.
