Fermenta Biotech, one of the largest manufacturers of Vitamin D3, has received a certificate of GMP compliance from the Competent Authority of Germany for its Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing facility in India.
The India-based company received the certification after an inspection by the European Union Good Manufacturing Practice (EU GMP) that was conducted in March 2024.

"This approval reflects our unwavering commitment that the Quality Assurance is in compliance with the stringent guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices," Fermenta Biotech said in a LinkedIn post.
Spectrum Pharmatech Consultants, an India-based pharmaceutical consultants, were the design and engineering consultant for this facility.
The global company provides design and engineering services to a wide range of industries such as pharmaceutical, biopharmaceuticals, food, beverage, and cosmetic industries.

Spectrum Pharmatech Consultants is also ISO 9001:2015 certified.
