ChargePoint Technology, the Liverpool-based powder containment and aseptic transfer valve specialist, has appointed two new area managers to support the increased demand for its containment technologies and solutions throughout the US.
Following the appointment of Chris Rombach as president of ChargePoint Inc in 2017 and the opening of the company’s second US office in San Francisco, ChargePoint has experienced rapid growth across North America, with the region now accounting for over 35% of total sales.
Tyler Courtney and Silke Grainger have joined the team as the Midwest and Western area managers, respectively, giving ChargePoint Technology dedicated coverage across all states within the US.
As well as forming part of ChargePoint’s US growth strategy, the new appointments enable the business to serve its existing customer base more efficiently at a local level.
Chris Rombach, president of ChargePoint Inc. commented: “Both Tyler and Silke have been appointed from large pharmaceutical operations, giving them a unique view from the customer perspective and a detailed understanding of the challenges faced across the industry. We are already seeing the benefits of their customer backgrounds, as it helps narrow the gap between service provider and end-user, allowing our product range and ongoing support to flourish within the region.”
Previously working as a senior scientist at MilliporeSigma, Tyler has a wealth of experience implementing ChargePoint Technology’s products and seeing their benefits in action, whilst Silke brings over 10 years of sales experience within the life science and pharmaceutical space.
Commenting on his appointment, Tyler Courtney states: “I am excited to be part of such an innovative company that strives to support its customers at all stages of their containment strategies. The AfterCareTM service is an exclusive level of care to customers that is rare to find in the US, and I am eager to see the impact it will continue to have on safety and efficiency.”
Silke Grainger, commented: “The move to ChargePoint Technology is truly exciting and I look forward to seeing our inventive technologies assist the market during this time of expansion. In particular, our split butterfly valve (SBV) is growing in popularity across the US as an alternative to more cumbersome and costly containment solutions and it is my role to help pharmaceutical manufacturers to realise these benefits.”
The new appointments come within a year of the multi-million-pound investment from LDC at ChargePoint’s UK headquarters to support its expansion within the US.
ChargePoint Technology has recently invested in unique SMART wireless monitoring technology to support efficiency, downtime and safety within aseptic processing and high potency manufacturing. The company will be exhibiting at Interphex 2018, showcasing this new technology at stand number 3033.
