OECHSLERhealth, a Germany-based medical technology manufacturer, has completed the first phase of its cleanroom expansion project at its facility in Ansbach, Germany.
The new ISO Class 8 cleanroom, known as Clean Room 23, was delivered on schedule following a five-month construction programme and adds 937 sqm to the company’s controlled production space.
The expansion forms part of a wider investment aimed at increasing capacity for high-precision medical component manufacturing.

OECHSLERhealth confirmed that Clean Room 23 has been fully integrated into the existing cleanroom infrastructure at the Ansbach site, bringing the total cleanroom area to 2,477 sqm.
The space is now ready for injection moulding production, and OECHSLERhealth aims to reach a total cleanroom footprint of 4,361 sqm by 2026.
Two cranes with a lifting capacity of 4.5 tonnes each were used during construction. According to the company, the expanded facility includes:
- A material air lock enlarged by 50%
- Quality control space with IPC nearly tripled
- A personal air lock more than doubled in size

A spokesperson for OECHSLERhealth said: “With the completion of the first construction phase of our cleanroom expansion in Ansbach, OECHSLERhealth is setting a strong signal for growth: Clean Room 23 is finished – after just 5 months of construction, exactly on schedule.”
The next milestones in the expansion project include the installation of injection moulding machines in Clean Room 23 and the start of construction on Clean Room 24, a new space dedicated to assembly operations.
