Italy-based Fedegari has expanded with a new hub in Europe at the start of 2024.
The Northern Europe expansion comes as a result of the company's acquisition of Belgium-based Steritec, which operates in the Benelux countries of Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
Fedegari is a large manufacturer of pharmaceutical and lab containment and sterilisation equipment. The company helps along the whole project process, from design to validation.
With the integration of Steritec into the Fedegari family, our global footprint is now fortified with four strategic hubs
The newly acquired Steritec is in the commercialisation of sterilisation and biodecontamination equipment offering integrated solutions for the pharmaceutical, biotech and food industry, healthcare and laboratories. This fits nicely within the remit of Fedegari.
"With the integration of Steritec into the Fedegari family, our global footprint is now fortified with four strategic hubs," Fedegari stated. "Together with our headquarters in Italy from which we globally support the market, these hubs cater specifically to the American Market from the US, the Asian Market from Singapore and Northern Europe from the newly established Belgian hub."
Fedegari explained that the expansion has been carried out to establish more direct communication with clients in the region.
This is aimed to have beneficial impacts on the number of trained technicians in the region and spare part availability, as well as provide a new dedicated technical centre for training and the advancements of sterilisation technology.
"This acquisition underscores Fedegari’s ongoing commitment to providing top-notch solutions and services, strengthening our presence in Northern Europe, and ensuring seamless support for our valued customers," the company added. "We look forward to the opportunities and advancements that this strategic move will bring to our company and the entire Northern European region."
