Winners of this year's Contaminexpo Innovation Awards were announced at the French cleanroom show and exhibition held in Paris on the 31 March - 2 April. Of the nine shortlisted award entries, three were chosen as final winners and were honoured on the exhibition opening night.
French company Ertec was winner in the Cleanroom Components category for its patented system that enables companies to make 50% energy savings on air handling systems for cleanrooms. In the Equipment Operating category, VWR International, won the award for its Systembox EasyMop GMP. This MopJump system allows for easy impregnation of the mop head, as well as a contact-free pick up.
A Special Jury Prize was awarded to the french company Winlight System for its Delco meter – a patented technology developed during the DELCO project, funded in part by OSEO and implemented in close collaboration with CEA-CESTA (the Research Center Scientific and Technical Aquitaine) and the University Aix-Marseille.
The optical particle counter, marketed as the Clearpart-100, is an autonomous device with a large (100 cm2) collecting surface for particles. Without any local pump or external motion to disturb deposition, the Clearpart-100 device scans and measures from inside the contamination that collects on its surface.
