Camfil has revamped its flagship Hi-Flo (registed trademark) filter range with a 12% improvement in energy performance
This improvement has been taken as an average across multiple sizes in the range, compared to its predecessor.
The clean air solutions expert first launched the Hi-Flo filter to target many industrial and commercial applications in 1969, with many updates since.
This most recent update has been spurred on by the updated standard from the European Committee for Standardization (CEN).
CEN’s standard “EN 16798-3” covers energy standards for ventilation solutions in non-residential buildings. The standard was updated in June 2025.
Camfil's updated range has a new name and launches as the Hi-Flo ePM1 70% air filter.
The company’s 2023 update to the range was set at 60%
The company’s 2023 update to the range was set at 60%. Building on the momentum of 2023 Hi-Flo ePM1 60% and ePM10 60%, this new model can cover a few different applications specified in the new CEN standard.
These two applications are: SUP1 - Critical buildings such as hospitals and pharmaceutical facilities; and SUP2 - General buildings with permanent occupancy, including office and commercial spaces. SUP1 areas are the ones that apply to cleanroom environments.
The enhanced Hi-Flo ePM1 70% filter meets and exceeds the filtration performance now recommended for these sectors.
“The Hi-Flo range has always been available for all building types, but due to our continued focus on improving performance, the Hi-Flo range continues to push the industry in terms of performance lifetime and energy efficiency,” said Paula Nowojska, Product Manager at Camfil.
