Schiller Automatisierungstechnik, a manufacturer of automation solutions for industrial applications, has launched a new cleanroom division.
The company is rapidly expanding in the field by developing particle-reduced storage solutions and transport systems for cleanroom environments.
This new division will now operate as an independent company under the name SCI.
“The foundation of SCI GmbH is a key milestone to further strengthen our innovation capabilities in cleanroom intralogistics,” said Markus Haider, Managing Director of SCI. “We look forward to shaping the future with tailored solutions and even greater flexibility.”
Now that SCI is an independent company, it will be able to accelerate the development of customised cleanroom intralogistic solutions for semiconductor and electronics industries.
Schiller has been a company for more than 45 years and established the independent company to focus on cleanrooms in April this year.
Building on this new subsidiary, SCI has now worked to make its warehouse management software more intuitive and modern so that cleanroom operations are even more efficient. The redesigned interface includes:
- Complete visualisation of conveyor and storage systems in automatic operation
- Seamless switching between automatic and manual modes
- Direct element control via touch-enabled control panel
- User-friendly tooltips for clear and intuitive guidance
- Real-time language switching – make your project speak your way
- Zoom and detail views to keep every process in sight from any angle
SCI systems allow for automated material flow along entire cleanroom production lines. The evergreen company has a strong global network as it is part of the international SCIO automation platform.
The SCIO platform includes more than ten brands, 30+ locations across eight countries, develops products such as software and cleanroom intralogistics, and enables smart factory solutions for global players.
SCIO also completed a deal in December 2023 to take over Fabmatics, a specialist in the automation of material flows and handling processes in semiconductor factories and semiconductor process equipment, subject to approval.
Fabmatics now functions as a sister company of SCI, and the two are helping each other to succeed.
