TOMI Environmental has installed its first SIS-SA product, which was installed and validated in collaboration with an isolator manufacturer

TOMI Environmental Solutions, a US-based provider of decontamination and infection prevention solutions, has installed its new product for the pharmaceutical isolator market.

The product is the SteraMist Integrated System – Standalone (SIS-SA).

The SIS-SA is the latest addition to TOMI’s SteraMist Integrated Systems (SIS) range, launched in the latter half of 2024.

The system was installed and validated in collaboration with an isolator manufacturer, retrofitted into an existing unit for a leading Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) that had previously invested in TOMI’s Surface Unit handheld spray systems.

This marks the first completed deployment of the SIS-SA, with further installations planned later this year.

The company expects to generate more than $500,000 in revenue from the SIS-SA product line during the 2025 financial year.

According to TOMI, the new system addresses the growing need for high-level sterility solutions across the pharmaceutical, medical device, and biopharmaceutical sectors.

Increased demand for drug manufacturing and more stringent regulatory requirements are driving growth in the life science sterility testing market, which is expected to reach $3.4bn by 2031, with a compound annual growth rate of 12.4%.

Dr Halden Shane, CEO and Chairman of TOMI Environmental Solutions, said: “The successful installation of our first SIS-SA system marks an important achievement and is a milestone in our strategy to expand our footprint in the life sciences industry. As demand grows for safe, sterile drug manufacturing environments, our SteraMist technology continues to demonstrate its value.”
