Construction of a Animal Research Facility is completed in Airkey factory for test before delivery to USA. This vivarium will have five animal holding rooms, housing mainly mice and rats. It will work as a shared laboratory in USA, saving costs and troubles of researchers from building vivarium themselves.
The animal research facilities play an indispensable role in the medical and pharmaceutical industry, which accommodates exquisitely controlled environments for the care and maintenance of experimental animals and supports the secure research efforts.
This animal laboratory cleanroom is designed with proper temperature 18-25°C and humidity 50±10% for animal care since animals will have resulting diseases or stress if the temperature is too hot or cold. Fresh air is continuously supplied into the cleanroom, with air change rate over 15 times per hour. In particular, the corridor is designed with enough width to accommodate animal rack, cart, and material traffic flow.
To conduct experimental observations on animal behaviors, the interior of cleanroom is required to have white light and red light that can be switched freely. With timing function, the two lights can be set to adjust the sleep-wake status of animals.
Under the CCAC Guidelines, animal laboratories should be designed to facilitate the cleaning process and be resistant to frequent sanitation.
