Belgium-based pharmaceutical CDMO Ardena has made progress on its new expansion of facility in the Netherlands.
Designed to expand the company's capacity for its Nanomedicines business unit, this building in Oss will provide ample space for R&D activities, analytical development, and small-scale GMP production. It will also boast Grade C and D cleanrooms for the manufacturing of clinical supplies.
As of February 2023, the Oss facility's foundations have been laid and the structure is now being put in place. "We anticipate completion of the full structure in mid-March, with the first equipment installation by Kropman at the end of Q1," the company stated in a LinkedIn post.
Kropman Contamination Control has been chosen to provide equipment for the expansion. Kropman Contamination Control (KCC) designs, builds and services skid-mounted systems, cleanrooms, laboratories and process installations for pharmaceutical production, healthcare applications and food production.
"We look forward to having the facility operational by December 2023, increasing our capacity to develop and manufacture nanomedicines," the company added.
