For the maintenance of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) installations, for example in cleanrooms, PCE Instruments added an inexpensive meter to its range of products. This meter called PCE-HVAC 3 can measure the temperature in °C and °F as well as the relative humidity in % and calculates the dew-point and wet-bulb temperatures.
It has all functions devices in that price class and above should have: a HOLD function and a MIN/MAX function. The fair measurement ranges of -20 ... 60 °C / -4 ... 140 °F for temperature and 0 … 100 % for relative humidity allow for various applications. The large dual LC display with backlight and the HVACR tester’s ergonomic design (allowing operation with one hand) make the meter very user-friendly. The Auto Power Off function keeps energy consumption down. This function can be disabled to make a long-term measurement.
The PCE-HVAC 3 comes in a practical carrying case, together with a battery and user manual. As an option, a calibration certificate can be purchased for an extra charge.
The PCE-HVAC 3 is only one out of many meters available at PCE Instruments which are used by HVAC technicians for maintenance and performance assessments of HVAC(R) installations.
