The Italy-based cleanroom design and build expert has formed a new partnership with Akhnaton Trading and Representation, an agent in Egypt

Italy-based Parteco Cleanroom Systems has added a new partner in Egypt to expand into the region.

Founded in 1974, the company designs, produces, and installs cleanrooms, providing services from initial design consultation to installation and ongoing maintenance.

The company also states that it was one of the pioneers in introducing prefabricated systems into pharmaceutical plant engineering in Italy. Now in 2025, the company has presented its new product “Lab Kit”.

Lab Kit is a pre-designed and pre-engineered microbiological laboratory solution, fully equipped to create a GMP-controlled environment, for indoor use.

Expanding into a new market

Parteco’s new partner is Cairo-based Akhnaton Trading and Representation.

The organisation is an agent for international suppliers, with clients that cover conceptual design and basic engineering know-how, machinery, consumables, and raw materials. These companies specialise in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and food industries.

The Egypt market expert is partnered with 13 companies across the globe, many of which also serve cleanroom environments.

These include companies such as lab equipment expert Fedegari Group, cleanroom environmental monitoring specialist Particle Measuring Systems, as well as multiple companies owned by the life science group Masco Group, which also owns KeyPlants.

The new partnership between the two companies is a big milestone for Parteco, and was made following a meeting between Parteco’s General Manager, Marco Fossati, and Onsy Hany and Nader Fawzy, from Akhnaton.

“We truly value this new collaboration and look forward to seeing Parteco cleanroom systems reach new markets,” Parteco stated in a LinkedIn post. “Bringing Italian know-how and reliability to Egypt with passion, precision, and partnership.”

Fraunhofer approved

Parteco has recently had its PST and CIS cleanroom systems given the prestigious IPA Fraunhofer Certification from the IPA Fraunhofer laboratory in Stuttgart.

This achievement confirms the suitability of these two systems for use in cleanrooms compliant with ISO 14644-1 (hygienic design) and EU GMP (particle release) standards.
