This free-to-attend event is dedicated to the business of the laboratory with almost 80% of the 3,000+ attendees involved in purchasing products and services. Last year saw a 43% increase in lab managers, a 53% increase in lab technicians, and an impressive 125% more procurement managers.
Building on the show's increasing popularity, Lab Innovations 2019 will be 10% bigger than last year. More exhibitors will be offering new products for a range of applications, more visitors will be looking for the right equipment and services for their businesses, and there will be more opportunities for networking than ever before.
Cleanroom Hub will provide an area exclusively dedicated to suppliers of cleanroom equipment
Lab Innovations offers an extensive scientific product showcase with over 160 leading science and healthcare suppliers presenting cutting-edge equipment and services for pharmaceuticals, healthcare, life and materials sciences, and more. Exhibitors focusing on controlled environments include: SLS, Bigneat, Felcon, Kimberley-Clark Professional, Helapet, Monmouth Scientific, Guardtech Cleanrooms, Contained Air Solutions, Esco, Mayteck, Shield Scientific and Containment Technology Services, to name but a few.
Cleanroom and laboratory focus
Following last year's success, the Cleanroom Hub, in association with Cleanroom Technology, will again provide an area exclusively dedicated to suppliers of cleanroom equipment. As well as the dedicated exhibitor pavilion and networking lounge, the Cleanroom Hub also incorporates a seminar pod with CPD-accredited educational presentations for cleanroom professionals.
Seminars at the Cleanroom Hub will focus on regulation and standards for GMP manufacturing in cleanrooms, and how to ensure sterilisation in environments where contamination needs to be controlled. Visitors can learn how to successfully prepare for audits, to ensure proper quality and specifications are being met. Read the full programme at the bottom of this page.
Product showcase
In the adjacent Lab News Village, first-time exhibitors will showcase products never seen before at Lab Innovations. Additionally, the well-received SLS pavilion is almost a third larger, showcasing 20 partners of the UK's largest independent supplier of laboratory equipment, chemicals and consumables.
Across the show floor, companies will be highlighting their very latest product introductions, meaning that visitors can effectively compare many cleanroom-related products from different companies at once. Energy-efficient biological safety cabinets being one such example.
Education and CPD points
In addition to the Cleanroom Hub, Lab Innovations offers many other CPD-accredited educational opportunities with over 35 hours of seminars to dip in and out of. The educational agenda enables visitors to earn CPD points when they visit the show.

The PerkinElmer-sponsored Insights and Innovations theatre, organised by Laboratory News, will provide insight into the latest discoveries, discussing best practices and day-to-day challenges in the lab. Presentations include "Innovations in lab equipment sustainability" by Andy Evans, of Green Light Laboratories; "Use of VR in the lab", by Pawel Gawkowski, COO of Solution4labs: and "Using AI in science" by Prof Dr Ji Zhou, Phenomics Group Leader at Earlham Institute.
The educational agenda enables visitors to earn CPD points
Recruitment specialists Kolabtree will present on "Freelancing in the lab" and will show how laboratory managers can tap into the increasingly prevalent gig economy and access highly skilled scientists on a freelance basis.
Budding entrepreneurs will benefit from the presentation "Hiding in plain sight - spotting valuable intellectual property" by Richard Wells, Patent Attorney at Potter Clarkson.
In its dedicated theatre, the Royal Society of Chemistry will celebrate the International Year of the Periodic Table and discuss recycling elements efficiently.
With sustainability high on the UK agenda, the Sustainable Laboratory will return for 2019. Here, visitors will see how improvements in technology, procurement and best practice can reduce running costs while safeguarding the science.

Lab Innovations introduces the Lab Connect this year, a free online meeting planner to ensure productive B2B matchmaking. The brand new feature at the show builds on the event’s reputation as the leading meeting place for laboratory professionals, procurement managers and suppliers.
