The Malaysia-based holding company has launched Maytech Cleanroom Manufacturing to strengthen manufacturing capabilities for cleanroom systems and components

iCents Group has launched Maytech Cleanroom Manufacturing in Malaysia.

The launch is accompanied by the creation of a new plant in Mantin, Negeri Sembilan, which will be operated by iMaytech Cleanroom Manufacturing.

Maytech specialises in the design, manufacturing and supply of cleanroom systems and components, serving sectors including semiconductors, data centres, pharmaceuticals, life sciences and food and beverage manufacturing.

An investment of around RM15 million (roughly $3.1–$3.3m) has been committed to expand manufacturing infrastructure and advanced production capabilities at the site.

The facility includes automated and semi-automated production systems.

These systems include laser cutting for cleanroom components, panel production lines with capacity of up to 3,000 sqm per day, as well as aluminium fabrication systems aimed at improving precision and reducing material waste.

The Mantin facility also incorporates in-house testing and laboratory capabilities, alongside research and development functions focused on improving cleanroom system performance and adapting to evolving industry requirements.

Expanding Malaysia’s cleanroom footprint

The facility was inaugurated on 17 April 2026 and attended by representatives from the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Invest Negeri Sembilan, local authorities and industry stakeholders.

The company said the new facility will enhance its ability to deliver integrated cleanroom and facility solutions amid rising regional demand for controlled environment infrastructure.

Maytech has also expanded its regional footprint, supplying cleanroom solutions to markets including Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines, reflecting growing demand across Southeast Asia.

According to project details, the expansion is expected to create around 100 jobs, with approximately 30% comprising skilled and technical roles.

The Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) is also expected to accelerate cleanroom-intensive industries in the area, including semiconductors, life sciences and advanced electronics.

MIDA said the development supports Malaysia’s push toward high-value, technology-driven manufacturing under the New Industrial Master Plan 2030, particularly in sectors such as semiconductors, data centres and life sciences.

“This facility enhances our ability to deliver integrated solutions across key industries such as data centres, semiconductors and pharmaceuticals, while reinforcing our commitment to quality, engineering excellence and disciplined execution,” said Ir. Ts. Vincent Ong Mum Fei, Managing Director of iCents Group Holdings.

“We believe this positions us well to support both domestic and regional project requirements as these sectors continue to expand.”
