Lonza has commissioned BAM to renovate the ground floor up to and including the second floor of its Brighthouse building 300 on the Brightlands Chemelot Campus in Sittard-Geleen, Netherlands.
The assignment includes the engineering and realisation of the cleanroom, laboratory and office functions in the existing building. Switzerland-based Lonza is focusing on the development of new mRNA technology at this location, and the final delivery of this project has been planned for July 2023.
The four existing Brighthouses are based on one basic design with a modular system and a standard installation package
BAM works with other entities in order to provide this service. BAM Bouw en Techniek, BAM Industrie and Interflow (as well as EQUANS) work together on the basis of a programme of requirements. BAM Bouw en Techniek is responsible for the structural engineering and realization, BAM Industrie is responsible for the installation of the High Purity Systems. Interflow designs and realises the cleanroom integrally. As a permanent partner of Lonza and Brightlands, EQUANS takes care of the engineering and realisation of the other installations in close cooperation with BAM Bouw en Techniek.
The four existing Brighthouses are based on one basic design with a modular system and a standard installation package. Brighthouse 300 is the third Brighthouse on the Chemelot Campus in Sittard-Geleen. BAM Bouw en Techniek has also realised a fourth Brighthouse on the Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo.
