LAF Tech has delivered and commissioned a customised environmental monitoring system (EMS) for AdvanCell.
AdvanCell is an Australia-based radiopharmaceutical company spearheading the development of Targeted Alpha Therapy, a next-generation cancer treatment offering new hope to patients with previously untreatable conditions
The system features a dual-database server architecture in a Hot Standby configuration for continuous data acquisition
The project, awarded to LAF Tech in November 2024 and completed in April 2025, was designed to meet the stringent demands of cleanroom and critical environment monitoring within a GMP-compliant pharmaceutical setting.
LAF Tech is an Australia-based cleanroom and controlled environment specialist, providing contamination control and environmental monitoring solutions to the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
At the heart of the EMS for AdvanceCell is the Lighthouse LMS Pharma 8 platform, delivering reliable, real-time data integrity across the AdvanCell site.
The system features a dual-database server architecture in a Hot Standby configuration for continuous data acquisition, supported by a bespoke system control cabinet designed and assembled in-house by LAF Tech’s technical team
At the heart of the EMS is the Lighthouse LMS Pharma 8 platform
In total, the installation included:
- 8 relative humidity and temperature sensors
- 4 room temperature sensors
- 11 equipment monitoring points across fridges, freezers, and ifncubators
- 12 differential pressure sensors for cleanroom pressure surveillance
- High-level integration of HotCell parameters (Airflow, Pressure, Temperature, and Humidity)
- Seamless connection of third-party particle counters via OPC for full system visibility
The EMS ensures continuous monitoring and recording of all critical environmental parameters, safeguarding pharmaceutical GMP compliance and product safety.
